We used this as a stop over spot. his is a nice campground, in a good area of town. This would be a great campground for families visiting the area. There were lots of safe looking activities for the kids on site. Miniature golf and playground on site. It is just down the street from many restaurants and Camping World. We felt this campground was overpriced, but it was well packed, so they must be doing something right. We believe that it might be because of it being inside the city and so close to attractions. The staff was nice and helpful. We would stop here again if we didn't have reservations already made at a more reasonably priced location.
This is the premier destination for the Smokies! As I type, I am using their wireless internet, it is working good. Well priced for the area, a mile from Super Wal-Mart, (why do we always go there first?) but before the main hustle of the area. Roads are gravel, but dust is not too bad. Staff was friendly and it appears that there are many activities on site for kids and adults alike. Bathrooms and laundry rooms were clean and up to date. We will for sure stay here again.
Great price, beautiful campground. We have stayed here many times. I think I am the only one reviewing this park? This park has really turned us on to the Corp parks, they are great. Safe environment, clean facilities, nice family environment. This place stays booked up on the weekends. Just a few folks remain during the week.
This is a great COE park! We have stayed here several times. It is mostly filled with weekenders, lots of kids, boats, and the like. It is on a busy, great fishing and recreational East Texas Lake!
We have stayed here several times, they have really nice sites. It is probably overall, the cleanest park we have been to. They even clean out the fire rings! We like it, and we will for sure be back. They have wooded, shady sites, and non shady sites. They have water front, and a little ways off of the water. We didn't use the bathhouse, but a lot of people were. Nice COE park.
We stopped over on the way home, very nice park, even nicer staff at park! Gated park at night, you have to have the code to get back in. Not in a bad neighborhood either. In between Highway 59 and IH 45. More full timers than nightly campers. Level site, they have three pretty ponds on property with ducks a swimming! They were decorated very nicely for Christmas! We will for sure be back to this one. Great place to stop over or to stay a while. Close to larger city of Conroe and pretty close to Houston.
Three Rivers is about 12,000 people, but this is for sure in the country. Great fishing and hunting, we were here visiting family and we are for sure out of the hustle of life out here. Nice park, limited shade, just due to being in West Texas, not many trees out here. Nolan Ryan's Waterfront restaurant is just down the Highway as well as some great Mexican food in Three Rivers. Overall, this is a great park for the hunter or fisherman, or just wanting to escape for a few days.
This is the second time we have stayed here, this is between Austin, and San Antonio, Texas. This is a campground attached to an RV dealership. Full hookups, we didn't use the cable or Wi-Fi, but their website says they have it. The best part about this place is its right next to Cabelas! Good place for a night or two, but I would not care to spend much time here. Its not dirty or anything, its just right in the middle of all thats happening, especially being attached to a full service dealership. We would stay again if we needed a place to stay for the night. It might be a good place to shop as well if you need a new RV they have plenty. They were renovating the showroom when we were there its really going to be nice when they get done.
We paid more for a water front sight, the others are a little cheaper. Very nice park, within 15-20 minutes from a larger town. Beautiful sites, nice staff. Mostly back in, but they are large, we have a 32 foot 5th wheel and a long wheel based F-350. This is our 2nd time here, we will be back.
Army Corp of Engineer Park - Single RV, double RV, RV/Tent, and tent only sites. Very nice staff on site. Website says closed from end of September until March, but I believe that was last year, I think they are open all year round. Fire rings, bathrooms and showers, bring your own firewood!
Sites were a little close, but still had plenty of room for 5th wheel and truck, even enough to put our awning out. Staff very nice and helpful. We rode through two other area parks, this was by far the nicest. We were in site 50, it had a great view of the gulf! We will be back!
